PiezoDN software and a Piezography K7 matte and glossy system of inks allows you to calibrate your own film for any darkroom or alt process at Piezography standards, while also using the system to make regular Piezography matte and glossy prints. It is possible to make a system using any of our five different Piezography K7 ink systems as long as you pair it with PiezoDN software.
The Epson 7900 / 9900 has 11 ink positions. This means that you will have two ink positions that are unused with our system. It also means that you can have two permanently clogged ink channels and we can re-map a Piezography system to work with your printer. We can also provide you with an optional setup for a printer with three permanently clogged channels. Otherwise, we think that you should install PiezoFlush into the two unused ink positions (Or & Gr) and reserve them for future in use in case your print head loses a channel or two.
We also offer a separate PiezoFlush fluid system to rid your printer of color stain. If you choose not to flush with PiezoFlush, you can use Piezography ink to flush out the color pigment ink in your printer. PiezoFlush is more costly, but it is more efficient.
