Piezography 4-ink Direct to Plate Photogravure Software System: A completely turnkey software solution for direct-to-plate photogravure production, including optimized settings and profiles for maximum fidelity. There is no need to calibrate. We include two versions of software that produces photogravure prints that match calibrated and non-calibrated displays. Works on supported printers with as few as 3 or 4 working ink channels! Let us know about your printer setup and condition and we can put together an entire Piezography system for you including inks and cartridges and starter plates.

This package is software only and includes:

  • Piezography 3 and 4-ink DTP System: Includes installer, curves package, and a Piezography Photogravure Plate exposure/curing target for matching your UV exposure unit to the optimal times.

  • Preset exposures in time or Units for verifiedUV exposure systems.

  • Does not include inks, cartridges, or Green Mountain Plates which must be purchased separately. 

Compatibility Notes:

  • Printer Compatibility: Compatible with Epson 3880, P800, (P900 EU version only), 7890, 9890, 7900, 9900, P6000, P7000, P8000, P9000 printers with at least four working ink channels. Note: MK and PK inks share the same channel (or function) on these printers and count as one working ink channel. You will receive a form to communicate to us which four positions you wish to use and a list of inks and cartridges and a Piezography DTP software package for your particular setup.

  • Inks: Works only with Piezography Pro inks and has specific requirements. Please contact us.

  • System and Software: Works with Windows and OS X. Requires QuadTone RIP. OS X users will require QTR Print Tool. Does not require any calibration equipment or software.

  • Designed specifically: for Green Mountain Plates. Compatibility with other brands and grades of photopolymer plates is not guaranteed.

  • Other Piezography functions: 9 ink position printers with all working channels can also be used for digital negatives and matte only printing. 11 ink position printers with all working channels can also be used for digital negatives, glossy and matte printing.
