Advanced Photopolymer Gravure Techniques WorkshopSKU: CEP-ADVANCED-PPG
This workshop is aimed squarely at those who have attended one of our direct to plate photogravure workshops.
Now is the time to leave the realm of the single ink print and move into advanced techniques which include larger sizes, and using multiple plates that require precise registration, and to segue into CMYK four plate photogravure including its calibration and ICC profiling.
With creativity at the wheel there is no telling where the workshop might head. Our goal is to broaden your horizons as to what is possible and to break new ground in your own workflow.
Naturally, we will be working with the new Green Mountain Plates, but whatever you learn is applicable to other brands of photopolymer plates.
Once the user has seen at least one product this snippet will be visible.

This workshop is for you if you have previously taken a direct to print photopolymer gravure workshop at Cone Editions Press. We will not be teaching direct to print, but we will be using it to produce plates. So it should be familiar to you, or you must be willing to use it without understanding it so that you can employ the advanced techniques to your own workflow. The caveat being that we will be concentrating on advanced printmaking technique. If you have questions whether you can apply these techniques to the way you make plates, once the plates are made any of the techniques we teach can be applied. If you wish to learn the direct to plate process - you should first sign up to take our Direct to Plate Photopolymer Gravure workshop.
