Compatibility:
InkThrift dye ink for Epson Ultrachrome compatible printers can be used in any Epson printer designed for use with Epson Ultrachrome inks such as the Epson R2880, R3000, 3800, 3880, 4800, 4880, 4900, 7700, 7800, 7880, 7890, 7900, 9700, 9800, 9880, 9890, 9900 printers.
There are two different yellows. One is YK3 and is used in all of the above printers with the exception of the 4900, 7900 and 9900 which we recommend use of the YHD.
While we expect you to make ICC profiles, the use of this yellow produces a gamut closer to the intended Epson color space. We do provide some ICC profiles at Vermont PhotoInkjet website.
This ink is compatible with nearly all brands of traditional inkjet media.
You do not need to use PiezoFlush to flush your printer before installing these inks. The ink is so inexpensive that it can be used to flush out the existing inks in your printer by performing an ink initialization, an INK INIT, or 2 to 3 POWER CLEANS.
You will want to make custom ICC profiles to take best advantage of this ink.
