Recorded on Feb 17, 2022 during a Live Zoom Session at Cone Editions Press.

The subject is Direct to Plate Photogravure / Intaglio with the new Green Mountain Photopolymer plates. Jon Cone, Walker Blackwell and Nathanael Kooperkamp will take you through the making of a direct to plate photogravure, the hand inking and pulling of that plate, and all the prep in-between.

This was a live Zoom session. Nothing was pre-recorded. So, you will see how long it takes and what the results are. Cone Editions has developed a proprietary method for direct to plate that is perfectly suited to the Green Mountain Plate which has twice the resolution of a Toyoba or a Jet plate.

You will learn about the plate, the method, even a peak at the verifiedUV Exposure System. And you'll get a glimpse at Cone Editions Press. We'll provide a link where you can order ready to print plates for your press, or perhaps come fully learn how we do direct to plate! There will be ample time for Q&A at a few segments during and after the demonstrations.

We will be printing images supplied by Pradip Malde.
